Scott, great stuff, could not use my e-mail address to sign in, on Google. So I will post here what I would have said there, in brief. Your photos are great, it looks like a great time was had by all, we sure enjoyed hooking for the short time we did. The only photo I missed was the stone for Wesel Fred, with Fred leaning on it. Again, thanks for sharing, I am certain all will enjoy. Regards, Tom Yeah it was great to finally meet you face to face. Do you have the photo of all of us at the Weasel marker that Tori took? Or was that with Steve's camera? Either way i'd love to see it. Glad you came through the long drive ok. I was beat driving 7 hours... I can only imagine yours.

That's the first time I have ever heard Fred speak, does he do public narrations of the battle often or was that a one off, anyway he looks at home in that role.
I used to do some interacting with an audience when I was in a band, I was only about 20 or so and at first is was daunting, but seeing that Fred has long passed his salad days I guess he would find it easier. I wonder what that coulee is behind Steve in that shot.
Great stuff Scott.

Diane Merkel arranged for Fred to talk to a group of Vietnam veterans and give them an informal tour of the battlefield. He does a good job and gets very into the role. Shy is not a word that comes to mind when thinking of Fred.

Check back to that Montana Mayhem album. More pictures are being added. Frank Bodden uploaded a couple hundred more after I posted the link.

I will. I discovered your Montana Mayhem pages well before I actually found the message boards so I really appreciate that you guys have shared your adventures so freely.

I went to the Montana Mayhem link on the black board, and although the images fabulous I didn't have a clue on some of the locations or people in the shots, maybe if you have time you caption some of them "please"

A bit of trivia, at least one soldier has two markers on the battlefield. Vincent Charley, has a marker near Weir Point, and it appears that later his remains were dug up and placed in the cemetery, as his grave stone resides there.

That makes me wonder what they did with Mitch Bouyer. He has a 'fell here' marker but did the remains they found get a separate burial or was it included with the other remains they buried recently in the cemetery
