Great site and I am aware of it. Bumped it hunting for stuff on Koninklijk Nederlands Indisch Leger . I was just stupified a few minutes ago. Berlusconi defends PUTIN on eve of Italian election. If there is a better advert for NOT letting billionaires into politics, then I cannot think of it. Completely gobsmacked at this guy.... who, as Russia is fleeing ending up in the frontline in Ukraine, is spinning complete bollocks about what is going on. This, is the reason, to defend democracy to the bitter end, last bullet and the end of all insane dictators. Without reservation, I predict another scandal about to unfold around Italy's senile playboy Mussolini. Unreal.................... Russia worked overtly, covertly and clandestinely, to install its preferred 'elected' leaders in Ukraine. Ukraine revolted and the entire Country was in the streets protesting what went on. It's Russia's turn now.............. I wonder if Putin could learn from Mussolini, he seems awfully fond of Xi. I wonder if Bezos would mind launching Berlusconni on the first flight to Venus. Give him a freebie............ Don't worry, Branson's arranging it.

link - In some fashion I arrived before two of the most obnoxious cretins who ever drew breath whilst they fenced around their infatuous self-considered geniuses. The discussion and gob smacking relevations are bread and butter amongst ants when they bother to take a break. Of course for many people it is naive to think a nation 0f 145 million will lose to one of 45 million. It was inconceivable to the Soviets (which includes Putin) that their thousands year putsch would shatter and crumble. The West and every nation on Earth are as vulnerable as they are dumb. What Putin is, is dour and stubborn. At some point, he expects to negotiate a settlement on his terms. I offer a parallel, juxtaposed in potential, from the Sioux experience on the Plains of Monatana where military victory in 1866 brought political compromise in Washington and established an outcome suiting the Indians. 10 years later, that same strategy practiced in warfare on the Rosebud and Little Bighorn, did not work and brought about disintegration of tribal life. There is no point doing busines or policy with Russia. It's very simple. The problem will be resolved by Russians and they will take Putin. The odious pair in the video consider themselves elevated in some fashion, I assume by IQ. They are ants preening on TV, presenting their rubbish which is considerably less than mediocre intelligence. It's very sad when drivel like this is profitable. I have launched 117 large seagulls to seek out Morgan and suitably decorate him. They are currently airborne and closing. We expect multiple strikes. In Russia, a fleet of Skua's are being mobilised to interdict the Red Square area seeking Little 'P'. Confidence is high, she has been grounded for a week.

HR: I would look for increased irregular/partisan activity over the next several months, keeping those Russians now within Uktaine's territorial borders, including Crimea and the Donbas, not knowing if they should crap or go blind. Couple this with a continuance of surgical artillery and drone strikes. Russia is vulnerable in its logistics, and logistical areas are ideal for this type of activity.
Keep your birds full of poop though just in case.
I do agree that Morgan character, and his guest, are somewhat below whale shit, as far as being human beings are concerned.
The ironic thing is that after this shindig is over, Ukraine will become a member of NATO, and Russia will play a tune we first heard at a place called Yorktown - The "World Turned Upside Down".
Never forget that people long to be free, the rule of law is the basis upon which democracy is built, and governments are the servants of the people. That perfection will probably never be fully achieved, but that does not mean you stop trying.
Keep Mike in your thoughts. He is in the path of a hurricane

I did say back in February that Ukraine would require a tactical nuclear defence to neutralise Putin. This is now so and I believe it was done.
Come on Vlad. Light the fuse. Live by the sword......

HR: One always plans for worst case, and hopes that worst case does not materialize.
Putin had best watch his own back door. He is running out of time.

I note Ukraine regained Lyman today. It would seem to me that the Ukrainians are now getting more equipment and ammunition from Russia than from the rest of the world; and all stuff they are trained to use. Putin would seem to be under performing as a commander. I will not be surprised to get some news from the Kherson end soon.
After that, stay off the bridge. Cheers

Kherson will be a tougher nut to crack than Lyman. THe Russians could afford to withdraw from Lyman. They can't afford Ukraine retacking Kherson. That will be the death knell for them. Then they are the Whom for which the Bell will Toll. That bridge goes and so does Putin's pipe dream.
As a commander in chief, Putin is performing about as well as, and maybe a little less than, Adolph did in the fall of 44, which is to say, not very well at all. Fall up until Christmas is the time I devote myself to the Battle of the Bulge every year. I need the colder weather to get me in the mood. Putin's recent mobilization order reminds me of Hitler combing the bushes for every male that could draw breath to fill his shadow like divisions, which he could not only feed, much less train and equip to some acceptable standard. Of course those divisions did have some initial success in the Ardennes, mainly because of better numbers, but they started running out of steam on 16 December 44, and by Christmas, they were baked and done.
The R's are down to using 60 year old T62's Mac, which is like using muskets to attack machine guns. Mike and I were wondering the other day why the R's were pulling them out of storage when the U's seem to have plenty of the much better Soviet designed T80's. Come to find out yesterday that while some T80 components were made in Saint Petersburg, the T80 itself was built in Ukraine when it was still a part of the Soviet Union.
It all comes down to two factors, soldier motivation, people fight harder for their home than anywhere else, and logistics. If you do not have both in more than ample supply, there is a name for that - loser.

The problem Russia faces and the problem with Russia is a line on a map, unfortunately. Draw a line through Kursk to Saratov - border to border west to East. Russia cannot be allowed that land (which it stole) Eos. It is the reason it turns it's bosses into nut jobs.
Very simple problem.

Any way, I understand that RF electoral rolls have been hacked and stolen by Extinction Rebellion who are undertaking a virtual Russian Election run on socio-economic algorytms representing normal democratic free choice. A much loved pop star's party are expected to wipe the floor and slate with incumbents, whilst the Tits Out Female Liberation Army are expected to put up a good showing. (Hope this doesn't offend) They expect to do well in wetter and cold regions.
You cannot lose what you have not got. Precisely what happened in the 90's. Central and Eastern regions of RF will be offered Independence under local Leaders. The North Western Region will be offered Finnish nationality.

During his Friday Repression Party speech VP made explicit false accusation over Nagasaki and Hiroshima. There was a valid assessment based upon losses during the two campaigns across the Pacific which gave one million US dead during the obliteration of Japan. That was the only prospect unless Japanese minds were changed.
The atomic weapons saved Japan. Japan understands this. Russia is run by a political nutjob who was put in place to keep the gangster bosses under the thumb. I don't envy Putin but he screwed the pooch, eventually and has no way to say sorry. Hirohito allover again.

I think you are correct HR. Russia has far more to lose here that immediately meets the eye. I am not talking about Putin, but Russia itself. Putin is a French Fry waiting to be dipped in the deep fryer. He will not come out of this in anything but a body bag.
