I only buy Smirnoff Vodka Tom, distilled in England by an Eglish company. Asda sells Russian Standard Vodka, which is distilled in Russia, but I don't think it is as good as the Smirnoff, too harsh as if they send the dregs over here.

I thought the talks would come to naught;
Ukraine and Moscow have ended a meeting with Kyiv slamming Russia's 'destructive processes' as a huge convoy of Belarusian tanks and troop carriers is seen near the border.
The talks ended without resolutions and a second round of negotiations will be held in the coming days, with a member of the Ukrainian delegation today saying talks were difficult and the Russian side was biased.
Presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak said on Twitter: 'The Russian side, unfortunately, still has a very biased view of the destructive processes it has launched.'

The Russian ambassador to the UN stated today that the Ukrainians are committing war crimes as they are hiding behind human shields. I wonder who believes that and what fool wrote it.

Any excuse to bomb civilian apparrtments with cluster bombs.
I have not seen any evidence of human shields but I have seen numerous clips of soviet cluster bombs landing on housing areas.

Canada has stopped purchasing Russian oil, We haven't. This continues to Prop up Putin's war. Talk about Russian collusion, on an ongoing basis.

Moscow has issued a warning to all civilians in Kyiv to keep clear of all government buildings and electricity stations as they are about to blow them to hell.
This is the point when they up the ante.
We have banned all russian ships from docking in our ports. We banned all russian aircraft last week.

With the introduction of area impact weapons as opposed to targeted weapons,Putin is rapidly becoming Vlad the Impaler, though that may be dragging the originals name through the mud.

I wonder if the Soviets have sent in their young conscripts first, I have heard reports of captured Russians soldiers tell their captors that they were going to be greeted by their Ukrainian brothers as saviours. They got the shock of their lives when they got attacked, many vehicles got shot up pretty bad with defenders showing suicidal tendencies.

Ian, how would you react if it were your nation and you knew that the invasion was eventually coming to your block, wife, children, and way of life. Your nation and that speech I alluded to says it all. Europe as a whole knows what it is like to sit on its hands, watch a build up, and then be rolled over. I think if you don't learn from history, well you know the rest.
A number of Ukrainians served in the old Soviet army, fought in Afghanistan and other countries, they know the brutality to expect. They know about living under an authoritarian government.
Tennis players, doctors, and others are coming home to fight, some of those old men who fought as Soviets are now fighting against the Russians.
For many Ukrainians they know it would be equally as suicidal to give up.
Regards, Tom

Think you know the answer to that Tom, as the song says "Britain never never never shall be slaves" I guess the British, like most other proud countries, would fight like the Ukraine.

I tuned on to CNN this morning as the chat on the BBC was a bit stilted and there was a Lt General (ret) on there called Mark Hertling, he said that reports of Soviet soldiers raiding super markets for food, suggests that these troops are lacking in the basics. He could be right, but would these soviet conscripts simply take food anyway to their basic rations? He also said that in the south of the Ukraine, the ammount of troops involved would not be able to control the vast areas between the major cities.
