Do a search for “Larry Elder” and gorilla on the CNN website and nothing comes up. Washington Post? Zilch. Nothing comes up on the New York Times site either, although if you make it to the 15th paragraph of a story entitled “The Vice President pushed back against the effort to recall Newsom in the Bay Area,” you will find a bland passing reference to Wednesday’s disgusting incident. According to our nation’s media leaders, it’s not a story that a white person wearing a gorilla mask attacked Larry Elder, a black man seeking to become the first non-white governor of California, by hurling an egg that touched his head.
If Elder were a Democrat, the attack would have been instantly and with good reason dubbed racist. It would not only be front-page news, it would be just about the only news you were hearing about today on CNN and MSNBC. Charles Blow, Perry Bacon, and Jamelle Bouie would each be writing the first in a series of angry columns about it. So would Gail Collins, Jonathan Capehart, Jennifer Rubin, Michelle Goldberg, Paul Krugman, Maureen Dowd, Dana Milbank, and Ezra Klein. We would be treated to multiple news analyses about the history of the usage of gorilla tropes against blacks. Joy-Ann Reid, Rachel Maddow, and Don Lemon would be doing hour-long broadcasts on the attack, convening panels discussing just how the attack pulls the scab off racism in America, and proves we have so much work left to do in dealing with the problem. Vox would commission a series about California’s grim history of racism dating back to the Chinese Exclusion Act, and Asian-American and Latino writers would hasten to explain that California’s historic hostility to all sorts of persons of color is as traditional as its Tournament of Roses parade. Three-thousand-word essays about the brutal, unknown history of lynchings in the Golden State would be published in The Atlantic and/or The New Yorker. Al Sharpton, exhibiting a combination of exhaustion and despondency, would be a guest on half a dozen cable TV shows.

The New York Times has revised its coverage of the New York Post‘s Hunter Biden laptop story to reflect that it is not “unsubstantiated.”
In reporting on Monday about the Federal Election Commission’s (FEC) ruling that Twitter did not make an unlawful campaign contribution to Joe Biden by censoring the story last October, the Times used the “unsubstantiated” descriptor in spite of the wealth of evidence supporting, and dearth of evidence contradicting the Post‘s claims.
Earlier this year, CNN confirmed that authorities believe the laptop — which allegedly contained incriminating sexual content, as well as evidence of a meeting with a Ukrainian energy executive and then vice president Joe Biden — referred to by the Post to be Hunter Biden’s. Moreover, Biden himself has speculated that it was “certainly possible” that it belongs to him.
“There could be a laptop out there that was stolen from me,” conceded the president’s son in April.
On Tuesday, a day after the Times broke the news about the FEC’s decision, and disparaged the Post‘s reporting, it removed the “unsubstantiated” label. Notably, the change was not accompanied by an editor’s note or other acknowledgment of the original error.

You can't make this stuff up!
Yesterday in a speech at the White House Bozo said a small incursion by the Russians into Ukraine would be ok.
Fairfax Schools forced students to play Privilege Bingo, the students must put a mark on their cards if they are white, Christian, male, and even military brats. Don't believe it, then why did the assholes apologize.
In the year 2022 Groundhog Day and the State of the Union speech should happen on the same day. That way we would have a very ironic juxtaposition of events. One involving a meaningless ritual in which we look to an insignificant creature of little intelligence for prognostication and the other involving a groundhog.

Well Tom if you think that things are bizzar over on your end, then we also have ludicrous events going on too, parties at number 10 during lock down, Boris Johnson lying to the house plus much more. It has got so bad that I don't even watch the ten o'clock news any more.

Obviously things in Ukraine are tense at the moment but I can see both sides, Putin sees nato forces on his border as Kennedy saw soviet forces in Cuba.

Ian, after the 2014 Olympics Russia grabbed the Crimean area.
Germany began grabbing territory after the 1936 Olympics, the Axis powers as a group began grabbing territory. Do we see a repeat of history after another Olympics? Do we see another Chamberlain? Are Tiawan and Ukraine just the beginning, and are we headed down a similar road?
Neville II, already shutdown a pipeline here and gave Putin his and now begs more energy from Russia and the Middle East. We had energy independence just over a year ago and were exporting.
Maybe I am just seeing ghosts, I sure hope so.

The problem is Tom, is that a lot of the old soviet block nations which border Russia, still have a large part of the population who still regard themselves as Russian, that is what happend in the Crimea, and the Ukraine also have a certain ammount of people who also think as themselves as Russian.
The problem I have is, will Putin back down because as with khrushchev during the Cuban crisis, if he backs down he may lose the respect of his own people, the Russians like strong leaders and if he backs down to Biden he may lose his position as leader.

Oh I agree with you, he is a murder and he rules with fear, but he still wont like losing face.
This gets me with places like Russia and China, we turn a blind eye when it comes to trade and sport, why can't all the good nations in the world just cease doing buisness with them and trade with each other. Eject them from all the main sporting events too. Just leave them. China can invade Tibet and still host the olympics and made huge trade deals, its crazy! We made Chine one of the strongest nations in the world Tom by trading with them, but what will happen if they move on Taiwan, probably nothing only empty threats, then next year they will hold the football world cup.

Well I wonder if this is the excuse Putin will use? The Russians are and have been claiming that there are some 120 or so US military contractors in the Eastern Ukraine stockpiling and planning to deploy chemical weapons. Don't see much in the press over here. I do see that the State Department is planning to bail employees. The British may have the same plan.

Yeah, we are pulling out some diplomats and their families. Putin has done his old trick by throwing things back in the face of the west by saying that the only reason they have built up troops on the border is because that they fear that the Ukraine army will try and take back the Crimea and other enclaves which wanted to return to Russia. Putin openly admits that he regards the Ukraine as Russian territory.

It's a company, that is in the quotes. That act as a point for donations for good causes, I donated a hundred bucks several years ago when Tori had breast cancer there for her care.
10 million bucks was just donated to the Canadian truckers to support their peaceful demonstration against the Canadian government which trying to keep free people under their thumb, using the virus as a pretense. Go Fund Me refused to forward the donations to the truckers, after taking their cut, saying that if the donors didn't request their donations back quickly Go Fund Me would give the monies to causes they considered appropriate. I was simply stating an opinion. The Gov. of FL has asked for an investigation.
