I got interested in the LBH after watching "They Died With Their Boots On." Obviously I became enthralled with Hoppy Beer because I watched too much "Hopalong Cassidy." His friends called him Hoppy!

There is nothing wrong with getting interested in LBH from the movie, it's just some people never seem to grow beyond that movie.
Growing up we had one TV (how did we survive) and my dad was not a Western fan so the only Western I ever saw was Roy Rodgers because it was on Saturday morning. I still love that show to this day. We bought the girls a Roy Rodgers video when they were young but they never shared my love.

Growing up I always wanted a Hamm's or Falstaff, simply because the Old Pro did the commercials during the CBS Game of the Week every Saturday. The Yankees were playing someone an Ole Dizzy Dean and Pee Wee Reese were the announcers. Great slice of Americana every week! Regards Dave

I remember my dad coming home with a colour tv set, it must have been about 1969 and we were all excited about changing our old black and white set for this lovely colourful box, but he said this is for the punters down stairs in the bar [we were living in a pub at the time] so we had to make do with our old set for another year or so. But I still remember going into the bar when the pub was shut, as opening hours in those days were from 12:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 till 10:30, so I used to have an hour on my own watching whatever was on at these times, but Saturday and Sunday was the best days as the pub didn't re-open till 7:00 and that meant I got to see programs like star trek [which was great in colour] and the high chaparral, which were usually shown between 6:00 and 7:00 every weekend.
