Is that you set in stone there Steve? Pretty cool, that stone and what it represents, will out live us all. Funny enough, I was flicking through Geordie's book on Thursday.

Am I seeing things or does that Standing Rock have an image in it. I know it is a trick of our minds to see things but to me it looks like a woman cradling a child.
Thank you for sharing the pictures. I know you mentioned that Custer House is now under a new name but how many years before and after Custer was it used? I wish those walls could talk because they could tell so many stories...

The middle man is Tom, the one with the chops is Kenney, the sign over his head names him. The pix taken in Miles City, at the Montana Bar.

Little mention of Steve's cooking presention here, his recipes are easy, and tasty. The style of cooking was on display, the proper amount of coals on top and bottom of kettle is well conceived and certainly does the job. The beans are not only a gas, really taste great. Cobbler yum!

Sorry for not recognizing you Tom, only seen one photo of you and you had a snake in your hand.
Did you ever try potatoes wrapped in a couple of layers of foil and put in the hot coals? Another one we used to do was peel a banana and put it in foil with a squeeze of lemon juice and some squares of chocolate.

Yes its in the walk way of the museum. I am certain it will outlive me. It commemorates not only Gordie but the fun I had from 2010 until 2016. I think now that Gordie's electronic sources are more important than the book. I have been working with Lance (Tom knows him) and he arranges these meetings . What he finds is that Gordie is right on with these various accounts. I am the AZ Ranger and Princess Tori is Gordie's daughter. We took this photo when Tori announced the book would be published.

Sorry about that, Ian, had to run before I finished my post. Then I got involved with my pick in a fantasy draft. Having won 5 times over the last 7 years and been in the money 9 times over the last 7 years I tend to prioritize the drafts from late July though August. Once I was in to many, but still keep my hand in.
Anyway, I was going to say that Beth aptly named the board, The Great Sioux War, as there are quite a few other battles fought near by, Wolf Mountain, Rosebud, Lame Deer, and others, even those fought in earlier years. Also the other guy in the picture enjoyed the trip even though he is not a buff, so to speak. I could go on, but you get the Idea, you and the wife could stay busy for two weeks in that area with non battle related destinations. I know you all would have other interests in other areas as well. And Chuck is about a 7+ hr drive from there, he can correct me on that.
As you can see not all that important.
Regards, Tom
