Hi everyone, just want a bit of advice from you all, you may have all watched these three mini series in the past, which have been missed by me, they are a series of books by the author Larry McMurtry which have been made into TV series. I have three of these TV movies, which I have learned, are virtually a trilogy. Her are the three I have;
Lonesome Dove [3 x episodes] Dead Man’s Walk [3 x episodes] Comanche Moon [3 x episodes] Now as you can see, all three are long winded shows, so is it worth the effort to watch all three over the Christmas period?

All three are excellent. I think there is a fourth, I think Return to Lonesome Dove, and a fifth as well, one with James Garner. It's been a long time since I have seen them.
What I would suggest is that you look them up on the internet. I believe the historical sequence in Dead Man's Walk, followed by Comanche Moon and Lonesome Dove in that order. The last two I mentioned above take place after Lonesome Dove.
Anyway, the first two are in Republic days in Texas, and Lonesome Dove and those that follow are set after the Civil War.
