Good article. I wonder if that colt revolver was offered in maybe a 5 inch barrel rather than the 7 1/2, which is pretty long. Might have made for easier handling, storage. Usually only used at short ranges anyway so why not. Only a slight advantage in accuracy I'd think but if the training/practice was as rare as we've heard what's the point. Funny that the gov't got stiffed on the prices they paid, I bet that never happened again, ever.
That colt is a excellent sidearm tho.
