Hi everyone, I didn't know were to post this so I picked this thread at random. I have a few images on my computer which are similar to a comparison aspect, I don't know who the authors were but I thank them for making these great shots. The first couple are supposed to be Calhoun hill at a ceremony and the same area today, the second is a painting of Reno's men heading for Reno hill and a comparison photo of the area today. Every time I see the pictures of where Reno and his men came up on the bluffs, I am surprised to think that anyone was able to make it to the top, especially the horses. It must have been absolutely terrifying.

Yes Beth, those bluffs look mighty steep, so imagine being chased for a mile, then cross a river, only to be faced with that climb, and on knackered horses too.
