Two thousand pounds is not a heck of a lot of military cargo HR.
The bottom line in my view is this drone more expensive than a truck which can hold ten to twenty times as much cargo, and needs only a driver and air guard to get the cargo where it needs to be.
Doable is a very fine word, but better doable is better.
All that said I can see applications for such a drone. Resupply of cut off Infantry might be one, or anytime conventional means of supply have been taken off the table. Beats the hell out of a parachute resupply, and cost you nothing in human terms to get something to someone, who can't otherwise be reached.

I made anolgy with the 1940's Jeep being ubiquitarian with volume diminishing costs. One of the things going on with supply at the moment is 'driverless' delivery which is going to happen because of the cost saving. Lifting the Hood - Unmanned LogisticsYes, large cargo's are economic, until the means of autonomous supply is ubiquitous. There are some complicated economic eaquations viz manpower savings re maintenance and operation; however and just with the image chosen above - if the cost of the vehicle able to deliver a short ton cargo, is comparable with 1940's jeeps then it would be possible to operate a fleet of 100,000's. That's a remarkable insight......... So,you need to deliver 12,000lbs, send 12 vehicles....... Caveat emptor with this is an airborn warfighting capability, numbering into the 100,000's. A battalion of WaMs slung with smart munitions available ad hoc, whenever required and re-purposed in realtime. This is besides the special mission roles which would obviously be developed and combat roles. It's a flying jeep. One could even be assigned per platoon or company and requiring maintenance the same as a jeep or truck. Anyone able to play computer games would be able to operate one of these, load a cargo and send it off to co-ordinates x,y,z. Taking another popular analogy, the drone swarm - this is it with a real and serious payload. Regards

I take it you are not from the Springfield 03 School of military thought HR. I sort of am, so you will have to forgive my leaping head first into modernity, without first seeing if there is any water in the pool. Convince me that I am seeing water.

I would guess VP hasn't force to hold all he took. This is because he expected a repeat of 2014. He is squeezing out his tube of toothpaste.
The 300,000-1,000,000 reservists called up is his medium term solutiin to occupation and making further gains. Russia is usually a bludgeon and can do this in Europe being the largest population group. (Are they really? No The RF is its greatest weakness).
Putin is molding a medium term with the blitz failed. Ukraine faces the classic dilemmas of reclaiming its land and population. Ukraine should make it clear that what Russia visited it, will be returned. That is a reasonable medium term goal. They should be provided the necessary deterrent if that brings global holocaust well, it was going to happen anyway in that case. If Putin doesn't care then no-one else can. If we do care - he believes so, then walk away now and let it be.
Ukraine does not need to retake its population centres but rather do the job Russia cannot and control them. It doesn't require siege but control of movement. That is usually done by winning control of the air. There needs to be a new solution for U.

Falling back behind the river line, as reported this morning, is an R' attempt to stabilize things for the coming winter HR. Seems like the logical thing for the R's to do, but it does present opportunities for the U's to screw with the R soldier's minds big time. Look for a major uptick in the partisan fight between Kherson and the sea in the next few months. There is nothing quite like sleeping in a foxhole expecting a shiv in you neck at any given moment to make you wish you had been born a girl, and had never been a called up male reservist.

Feb:43 Manstein.RuForce over extended with the entire country in slavery. Zuchov I don't remember... Took a risk and got his balls handed to him. If the Germans had been able to hold back a punch -there would have been no.....biggest tank battle in history.
Russia's finished. Socially. Putin's 300,000 are looking stand living in the middle of what he has done. That army will turn on him. Tell me about the Russian finger. Time for the milintel to go to work chocolate or your ribs. They're starving and not a thing on Earth dear oldVlad can do will overcome hunger. So get the air defence in and when the last gasp air lifts start - do the business.
Bye bye Vlad. It would be helpful if the Arctic oilfields blew up. They do keep trying butno- one worked out why.
Russia has been the curse of civilisation for a thousand years. At the moment they 150 millions face a billion. Finish it. We did nothing but offer love and business.

Peace in our time.
If Putin uses one nuclear weapon then Russia ceases to exist. That's it.
Don't bother with him. Tell Russia . Live or die - it's over.
