Nice find Ian. It is an interesting question. I have heard that some Geophysical examinations have suggested that any remains are simply quite deeply buried now. The second thing is, and this is raised in the video, what is the extent of "the ravine"? There are markers closer to the river which may be part of the 28 bodies attributed to the site. Men entered the ravine because they were under fire from two sides, this too is referenced in the video, fire was coming from there north and also from the end of Greasy Grass Ridge to their south (archaeology). I do not think the men entering the ravine just stayed there but rather ran down towards the river. Equally some would find no refuge there and might then try to climb out of the ravine.
Cheers

No problem Mac, and how are doing these days, saw on the news the terrible floods over there.
I remember at least instance of a soldier being killed in the river, a squaw bludgeoned a wounded soldier to death after she discovered him at the waters edge.
Maybe just Indian hearsay, but I wonder if any more managed to get to the water via deep ravine only to be killed and dragged out and left on the bank.

How refreshing. A guy who makes a video, and says he does not know what happened, as what happened is unknowable, thereby telling the truth. That will never do.

Ian, this is your thread, I can only give it a thumbs up as I did on the other board. You know you can bring over the responding post by backwater with the clip from Doug Scott, it's more to the point than mine.
Regards, Tom

Done, I know many of us have delt with this subject before, but many new posters are drawn towards clips like this, the theory about what happend to the grey horse company runs strong.
