The name is Tom. Interest in LBH started at an early age. First TDWTBO, with Errol Flynn. Much reading between then and now. Visits to the battlefield, two other boards have been beneficial, discussions participated in and audited. One board I will call the "sister board" (Alliance) and the other board I will refer to as the "other board" (Association). I would consider my self allied with one and associated with the other. I hope all who visit here and those who become members here feel like family.
Regards, Tom

I am a retired University of Mississippi administrator, age 65, and a resident of MS. I have always been a History Buff and since I live within 3 hours of both Shiloh and Vicksburg, I tend to study the War and WW II more intently. I had the opportunity to visit the LBH field in 2004 for just a few hours. Have been looking for a way to return, without family, and spend more time walking the field and studying the terrain. I believe the study of the terrain is a vital part of understanding any engagement.
Like Tom I am a member of 2 other boards about the Little Big Horn.' I am pleased that this board will discuss other battles and personnel as well as the Little Big Horn. Regards Dave

Hello, Guess what my name is! Have been interested in the LBH for quite some time, not quite fanatical, but close and eager to learn more about other battles. My background is simple, USN service as a Machinist Mate. Favorite book is "Son of the Morning Star" by Evan Connell. Best, c.

Hello everyone, my name is Ian and I love everything military, BLBH has always fascinated me and I like sharing views with other like minded people, as long as they don’t mention today’s test match score between England and Australia, the British Open Golf yes but not the cricket.
Yan.

You all so far know me, probably all too well.
For those that come here new. Retired military. Find the only advantage to my age is survivability. Areas of great interest are the first year of the war in the Pacific, Korea, The Texas Revolution, The Battle of the Bulge. The Centennial Campaign and frontier conflict in general sparks my interest in that it was a transition period, as was the ACW, from the ancient ways into the modern. I conclude that you cannot understand 20th and 21st Century conflict unless you have a better than good working knowledge of what came before.
My second retirement was after 20 years in the commercial world, specifically the flooring business.
Other than that I spend my time in church work, and have an intense interest in politics, and government, and am addicted to mysteries.

Hello all.
I'm not sure of what has been going on other than the obnoxious posts that were making a mess of everything.
I'm just happy to find a place where I can follow all of your conversations...my interest and understanding in LBH has been considerably enhanced by all of your thoughts.
Many thanks and I look forward to a bright future for us.

Retired USAF pilot. Retired TWA pilot. Now teach airline pilots in the simulator. I like to catch big bass but I'm not very good at it. Currently frustrated at my inability to get grass to grow where I want it and not where it wants it. Am spending time with toddler grand-daughter hoping that the experience will teach me how.

Hi,
I am a stay-at-home mother of 2 girls and a neurotic dog with a passion for history. I currently live in Central Texas but I have also resided in Iowa, New York, Idaho. and S. Florida. Despite my wandering, I will always consider myself an Iowan, heart and soul.
I have always been interested in Little Big Horn, but I developed an interest in all Western history while living in Idaho within miles of the Oregon Trail and the Ward Massacre site.
Since I became a mom at the age that caused most people to mistake my kids for grandkids, I have held a variety of jobs over the years from nurse aide to hair stylist to a quality control tech in a factory.
Besides history, my other hobbies are high power rocketry and reading Regency romances.

Hi Mac here. I live in Melbourne Australia and so am a reader rather than anything else. Always been interested in history and archaeology. I once did some research on the Australian actor Errol Flynn. Then one day watched TDWTBO again. My big mistake was to wonder what really happened at the end of the battle; as the movie was hardly suggestive of reality. So here I am' hoping to be abe to give RW and Ian a hard time soon about the cricket...oh and learn some stuff. Cheers

Hello All,
Another Australian signing in although my Yank roots usually shine through. I'd rather watch a test match than baseball, but I'll take gridiron football over rugby. Got hooked to LBH when my family stopped by the battlefield on vacation when I was young. Little white markers dotted over the landscape and a mystery.
Cheers,
conrad

A big welcome to both of our friends from OZ.
Mac: That is the Australian Light Horse in the avatar is it not?
I had a welcoming message for you ready to go a short while after you joined. I pushed the send button, and the computer went dead. Found out the next day that we had completely lost the signal due to a mechanical problem.
