See, she had a clearly defined strategic objective, make you into the man she wants you to be. Don't feel like the Lone Ranger in that regard. The chipping and shaping is operational maneuver. Meeting bad women in a parking lot is part of her operational disinformation plan. When you ever get to the tactical phase let me know, I would not miss it for the world.
I told you all this stuff is everyday life easy. See.

Brother Dave She has stated that after almost 46 years, of being happily married, she has spent too much time and effort shaping and chipping rough edges to give up now. Thank God! She has told everyone if it had not been for her I would be a truck driver meeting bad women in the parking lot. Like she would know but I just humor her. Regards Dave I like her already! Good thing she does not know me because I met a lot of bad women in parking lots and I would probably rate a stern lecture.

All kidding aside, I know the desired result of the Centennial Campaign, but was the overall strategy ever elucidated. We know the tactics, used by all involved, but I am not sure there was a strategic plan until after August. The Campaign strategy was the end game of an effort that borrowed Sherman's tactics his March and translate it to the Indian Nations. They set out to destroy the entire culture by actively destroying the major food source--the buffalo--an action that has had long lasting environmental consequences that we are still feeling today. They also actively broke down the tribal structure, all sense of Native culture and beliefs. Infanticize the people by making them totally dependant on the largess of the government for every single aspect of their lives. Finally with the actual summer 1876 campaign take away the ability to wage war by removing both remaining tribal leadership and those who followed. Of course they might not have worded it quite that way. I think it would have been something along the line of bringing a primitive, uneducated and savage man the wonders and delight of Western civilization while managing to gain control of land that they just aren't using to it's fullest potential and as god fearing civilized men it is our destiny to gain control of it and make better use of.

Virginia cheated when Stuart rode around McClellan, and the only one that got that got pissed was Philip Saint George Cooke. There is a valuable lesson to be learned here. Never drive to Omaha, it obviously does not agree with your digestion, and never bet on Philip Saint George Cooke in the great baseball game in the sky. Steve and I spent part of our honeymoon in Omaha. Don't even ask Dave about his experiences with midwesterners' version of iced tea. (or ice tea depending on where you live).
